About 50 people attended the annual auction hosted by the Kiwanis Club

ST. JOHNSBURY — About 50 people attended the annual auction hosted by the Kiwanis Club of St. Johnsbury, where bidding was both live and through a silent auction, with more than 130 items donated by local businesses and individuals. The fundraiser to benefit the Kiwanis Pool in St. Johnsbury brought in more than $13,400. There were dozens of gift certificates to local shops and eateries, as well as items donated from local businesses including furniture, toys, tools, and gear from St. Johnsbury Academy, which generously hosted the annual event in the Alumni Gym. All funds raised through the auction are used to provide free swimming lessons at the Kiwanis Pool behind the St. Johnsbury School and for the pool’s maintenance and staffing. Tax-deductible donations may be sent to the club at: Kiwanis Club of St. Johnsbury, P.O. Box 204, St. Johnsbury, VT 05819.
